Team stats, now with video integration
An intuitive design lets you record game stats fast, by tapping on the rink and choosing the event.
Goals, assists, missed shots, blocked shots, icing, face-offs, penalties, plus/minus, goalie stats, winning goal, type of penalty, and shot position on net.
Your game report is emailed to you automatically as soon as you send game data to the cloud.
Portal Season subscribers get the iTrackHockey Web Portal, with the ability to update statistics and access additional reports.
Record stats on device 1 and video on device 2, then use the Web Portal to download the video and bookmark file and view your stat bookmarks in the free VLC player.
During the game
During a game you can record multiple events, all with a couple of quick taps:
Events can be marked even-strength, power play or penalty kill. Stats are collected and shown on request, including a play-back of game events. At the end of the game you get a detailed report by email, with season-to-date totals.
What is iTrackHockey
iTrackHockey was designed with hockey players and coaches, to help everyone keep track of and learn from the events in a game.
Season subscribers can reach their teams and games through the Web Portal, where they can change goals and assists, reprint reports, and open additional reports.
The iOS and Android apps record stats during the game. Automatic “Email Stats” reports cover the game and the season. The Web Portal gives you access to your historical data.
Coaches use a range of tools to win. Two of the most useful are tracking players’ performance and reviewing past results against opponents. iTrackHockey does both.
Who we are
We are a group of hockey parents, players, fans and coaches who happen to have a day job as software developers. We wanted a hockey stat app that was genuinely easy to use. We could not find one, so we built iTrackHockey. The idea is simple: give people like us the easiest way to collect hockey stats for minor hockey teams.
What coaches say
Really like this app!
Love the app!
I have been showing your app to a lot of people and telling them how much I like it.
You guys have put together a great app and have awesome technical support. Thanks again.
I really enjoy the app, and the new portal is a fantastic addition.
P.S. very nice app, very easy to use during a game!
I’m a minor hockey coach and former NHL player, and I’ve been looking for a stats system for years. This is the easiest and most efficient one on the market to use. Great job.
Great app for everyone. From a coach’s perspective it incorporates all the little things and is very user friendly.
Frequently asked questions
No. The app works offline; we assume there is no connectivity while you record stats.
The only times you need a connection are to purchase game tokens (this is done through the app store) and to receive your game report.
Yes. You can view stats while you record the game (the STATS button, bottom left). You can also view stats for any completed game on your device.
Your game reports are included in your cost. Just tap EMAIL REPORT while connected and the report is emailed to you automatically. You can also resend any report on request (connectivity required).
Each game report is about 9 pages, with sections covering specific parts of your game plus year-to-date totals.
Each user tracks specific teams, and you can log in with the same user on multiple devices. When you sign in on a new device with the same credentials, the team, roster and opponent teams download automatically (Android or iOS).
You can record a game on a second or third device and receive your report. Year-to-date stats update accordingly, but each device only stores the games recorded on it.
Credits cannot be transferred between devices at this time, so you will need to purchase game tokens for each device.
Absolutely. It also tracks plus/minus and points.
When a goal is scored, tap the goal scorer (highlighted green), then tap twice on another player for an assist (highlighted yellow). Tap a player three times to mark them on the ice (grey). So for each goal you can mark one scorer, up to two assists, and up to three on-ice players who get a plus.
On the events screen, if you tap the penalty-kill or power-play buttons at the top, the app adjusts plus/minus automatically, since a player does not get a plus if the team scores on the power play.
After a game is complete, and before you send data to the server, you can change goals and assists from the STATS page by tapping the GOALS heading.
This lets you update assists and plus/minus after a period or after the game. Once you send data to the server, events can no longer be modified. The Web Portal also lets subscribers view, run reports on, and update stats from a browser.
A new team stays under the Opponents tab until it has 6 or more players on the roster. Once it has 6 or more, it moves to the My Team tab.
When you add a game, the GAME TYPE field sets the season. Your report groups results by GAME TYPE.
Yes. To have several people record different stats for the same game:
1. Have everyone log in to the app with the same credentials. Because tokens are device specific, let us know after these users have logged in and we can transfer tokens between devices.
2. Have all users record from the same side of the rink, so the game orientation matches (which team attacks from the left in the first period).
3. Make sure each user records different stats for the same game. For example, one records shots and goals while another records icing, penalties and face-offs. If two users record the same event, the system treats them as separate events.
4. After the games upload to the server, email us the game numbers you want to combine. Linking is quick, but at this time it is done by us. Once combined, rerun your report or open it in the portal and it will include all events. Combined games cannot be separated.
1. On your iPad, either complete a game and SEND DATA / SYNC, or tap SYNC TEAMS in the MY ACCOUNT screen. This updates the cloud.
2. On your iPhone, tap SYNC TEAMS to pull all teams and rosters to your iPhone.
3. Tokens are device specific, but we can transfer tokens between your devices. Just tell us how many.
4. Games are recorded on a device and uploaded to the cloud, where you get your detailed report. Games are not sent from one device to another. We also offer an add-on to access all games in the cloud through the Web Portal.
1. Before you send data to the cloud: swipe the game left or right in the list to reveal a red delete button. This permanently deletes the game.
2. After data was sent to the cloud: you can delete it from your device the same way, but it still counts toward season-to-date totals in your reports. To remove it from the cloud, either subscribe to the Web Portal, or email us the game report or number and we will delete it for you.
Tap the player who blocked the shot. If this is in the defensive zone, tap your team’s icon and the player numbers will appear.
Yes. Using multiple devices on the same account syncs teams and players automatically. Games are not shared between devices; to access all games from all devices, subscribe to the Web Portal. Because tokens are device specific, purchase tokens on each device or ask us to transfer them between devices (free of charge).
Yes. Web Portal subscribers can add their coach’s email to the account, so the coach is automatically CC’ed on all game reports.
Yes. The STATS page has a SHARE button (top right) to share an image of the stats with your coach. Sharing uses your device’s built-in sharing and needs an internet connection.
